@abbamarcus your message is deeply powerful, and as someone who has walked this difficult road before, I feel every word you shared. Iâve been thereâcaught in the cycle of pain, silence, and abuse, but by the grace of God, I am now 4 years sober. It hasnât been an easy journey, but it has taught me lessons Iâll carry for life. To parents everywhere: We cannot ignore the truth any longerâalcohol is the most sold and accepted drug in the world. It disguises itself as âcelebrationâ and âstress relief,â but behind its mask, it destroys families, health, and futures. As parents, we need to remember that our children watch everything we do, not just what we say. It is our responsibility to protect them, educate them, and help them understand the dangers of alcohol abuse before it consumes them like it has so many others. Silence isnât protection. Pretending itâs not a problem doesnât make it go away. We owe it to our children to break the cycle. As someone who has overcome addiction, I can say this with certainty: It starts with us. ⢠Teach your children the truth about alcoholânot as a social tool, but as a dangerous drug. ⢠Be the example of the change you wish to see. ⢠Create homes filled with honest conversations, love, and healingânot silence and pain. To Abba, your words have inspired so many today. Thank you for breaking the silence and reminding us that domestic violence and addiction are never the fault of the survivor or the child. To all parents: letâs give our children the tools to face lifeâs struggles without turning to substances for relief. Letâs raise them with strength, awareness, and purpose. âI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.â â Philippians 4:13 For anyone struggling, know this: recovery is possible. Healing is real. I am living proof. Letâs stand together for our children and for each other.
