The past 12 months have been wild—physically, mentally, emotionally. I’ve faced challenges, taken the road less traveled, and learned to accept that growth cannot happen without discomfort. Through it all, my equines have been my greatest guides. Their wisdom isn’t about words, but presence. Here are 3 powerful lessons they’ve taught me: 1️⃣ Not everyone deserves your energy. Horses will try to never deplete their energy reserves, in case they need them! There is a profound lesson in this. 2️⃣ Some mistakes are necessary to move forward. It’s called learning and not something to be feared. 3️⃣ We are all more resilient than we think. Strength comes from learning to carry the heavy, one step at a time. Have I made mistakes these last 12 months? YES!! Do I regret them? NO. I’ve learned that regretting the past is one of the primary things that holds me back. When I fall into the headspace of regret, I make amends—not just to those I may have impacted but, most importantly, to myself. Here’s to growth, to strength, and to the quiet lessons in the barns and pastures that have shaped who I’ve become. Peace & Love Melissa & Zee 🥰🎥 @melissajeanpt
