Optavia starts people off on their “5&1 Plan, which is an 800–1,000-calorie regimen for 12 WEEKS😳🤯 I'm sorry what. THIS is what people are doing. That's less than a two year old needs. I have never met an actual certified dietitian or nutritionist that tells people to eat that little. Telling people to eat that little is an eating disorder in disguise! You aren't even eating your bmr (basal metabolic rate).That's what your body needs in order to accomplish it's most basic life-sustaining functions and stay alive. Your body is starving! And if you say you aren't hungry that's an even greater sign your metabolism has slowed  As a certified nutritionist, I have talked to 100s of ladies (literally) on the phone who tell me they tried optavia, lost weight, then gained it...back plus some. Some of these ladies developed fear of food, binge eating, or even other eating disorders. Others developed gall bladder disease.  Even if someone does lose weight from this toxic diet their metabolism has slowed to a halt + their gut and hormones are out of whack.  This isn't only about optavia though. I'm coming for you Jenny Craig, Slimfast, Weight watchers, nutrisystem...and so many more toxic diets out there. Name one below if you want me to roast it😂 More than 80 million people are dieting - the diet industry is a multi billion dollar industry and yet people are only gaining more weight and becoming sicker! It's because diets put ZERO focus on the quality of the food itself and no emphasis on whether the food is unprocessed or free of chemical additives - including Optavia. It's just “food-like” products, it's not even real food. I'm talking heavily processed proteins, excitltoxins, artificial thickness & sweetness, hidden msg additives like textured proteins. In conclusion, STOP wasting $400 a month taking Optavia to try to lose weight! It's only hurting you and the people around you. It's highly processed, containing large amounts of additives, sugar substitutes, and processed vegetable oils. This, in turn, may harm your gut health and lead to chronic inflammation.
