One of my favorite movements to incorporate on chest day is BOSU ball push-ups. With my current shoulder situation, this exercise has been a game-changer for helping me build strength and stability in my chest, shoulders, lats, and triceps. It also keeps constant tension on the muscles while engaging my core for added stability. I highly recommend adding this movement into your routine. Personally, I like to perform one or two movements before incorporating these into my workout. Some weeks, I even focus on extra sets of BOSU ball push-ups to continue building strength and stability in my shoulder. Bodyweight alone works great for this, but you can add a weighted vest or plate for extra resistance if you’re looking to level up. Depending on how my shoulder feels, I’ll do anywhere from 3-4 sets, or even 5-6 sets on certain days, to completely exhaust the muscles.
