Literally got told by one of these moms to stop sharing my experience online because it “makes autism seem positive” and that her son’s suffering is nothing like this due to him having higher support needs + “come to my house and you’ll truly know what autism is”. The lack of representation of autism creators with high support needs is definitely a huge issue needs a lot more attention and conversation. AND that does not mean I should be barred from sharing my experience. I also don’t share my lowest moments from being disabled on social media all the time because I don’t want to or have to in order to prove I’m disabled enough to “claim” autism. ##latediagnosedautistic##femaleautism##actuallyautistic

There is a near complete consensus by hundreds of people that you are making a mockery of autism at this point. Get your head out of Tiktok and Dr Devon’s book and into the real world. You are a psychologist and this is so unethical. Autistic traits have to be CLINICALLY SIGNIFICANT TO BE AUTISM and has to negatively impact your life in some way.
