I am grateful to the failings and the losses for bringing me closer to what is for me. Thank you for showing me the areas in my life that needed more attention, and thank you for some of the most uninspired moments— I don’t know what I learned from those, but I know they were important. Thank you for all the joy and good company, the gatherings and true love. I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned from people who have come and gone, I’m thankful to be rid of things that don’t serve me, and lucky to find things and people that fill my cup. Most of all, I understand now that it’s me who needs to fill my cup the most. I understand what true vulnerability looks like. I understand the impact I can make on my own life and my future.
