With the price of copper being so pricy I decided to use my old metal fire dress and upcycle the fabric for my next project. I decided since another performer died doing a fire dress act I didn’t want to sell a dangerous prop like a spinning fire dress. And being a mother I didn’t want to do it anymore. So instead of it being in a suitcase for the rest of its life I decided to make it into the outdoor lampshade I’ve been working on.
