This is one of the most jaw dropping moments I’ve ever witnessed. Watching the light dance in the valley, not knowing if the clouds would ruin the show, until the glowing waterfall revealed itself. If you get the chance to witness this wild phenomenon, I highly recommend you take it. Conditions are looking pretty decent so far this year, just have to hope the clouds play along 👀🤌🏼 If you’re not familiar with Firefall, it’s a natural phenomenon that occurs for just a few weeks each February in Yosemite National Park. When conditions are perfect—the skies clear, the snow melting just enough, and the sun setting at the right angle—the light hits Horsetail Fall and makes it glow a vibrant orange and red, as if lava is streaming down the granite cliffs of El Capitan. It’s a rare sight that draws photographers and nature lovers from all over, but even then, catching it depends on having the perfect mix of timing, weather, and water flow. @sonyalpha A7riii
