Injury prevention is a phrase that gets tossed around a lot and I hope to show you all in future videos how easy it can be and how to create a routine that is specific to YOU. But before we get into the HOW, we have to talk about the WHY. There is a shift happening in the health and wellness industry from a focus on treating existing pain/injury to one of PREVENTING or at least reducing the risk of those things happening. The reason the system is set up to treat instead of prevent is because it is A LOT more profitable to treat a person’s pain with expensive modalities, pain-numbing drugs, and surgeries than it is for them to do things on their own that keep their body’s resilient to injury throughout their life. By hopping on the injury prevention trend, you are entering into the new wave of health and fitness by taking control of your health NOW instead of waiting for something bad to happen and spending your healthcare dollars on something that could have been prevented.
