FLOOR TAX PAID!! - 1/4/25 It’s tax day a little early! Sometimes rolling around in a crowded rink, getting caught up in the vibe and weaving through traffic can be risky. Clipping wheels at a high speed can sometimes lead to a fall and this time it did. Thankfully I just bumped my elbow a little. The only thing damaged was the charging cable that was plugged into my phone. The important thing is that my glasses didn’t get run over when they flew off my head lol. That would have sucked! Many of my followers comment on their concerns about falling and getting injured. In general, that isn’t an issue except when rolling fast, through a crowd and being live. It’s what I do, and since first doing it in mid 2023, I’ve only gone down twice. If you are considering coming back to skating, take it slow. Avoid crowds and give yourself time to build your skill back. I would also spend time with someone to help you learn how to fall safely. Since I played ice hockey when I was younger, that wasn’t an issue for me. Be cautious, but not afraid.
