My dad is from France and moved to the US when he was 26, so his entire side of the family still lives near Paris and and celebrates Christmas in the same little village in the French Alps every year :) I feel so lucky to be a part of this tradition and get to spend quality time with my cousins and grandparents who I only get to see once a year! I’m a dual citizen and have both a US and French passport so have the options to eventually live anywhere in the EU which is a cool thought since education in France is free :) . My whole family is big on skiing including my grandparents who are 85 years old and have hiked le Mont Blanc 4 times! My dad taught me when I was 2 years old and I ski raced in high school for 2 years. A tour of our hotel in @#megevemoments - we love our suite at Les Loges Blanches - it’s so spacious and perfect for our family! We also love the outdoor pool and sauna, and we had the most delicious fondue 🫕 dinner at the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the Megève city center where you can find tons of cute shops and restaurants. Plus it was so convenient to go skiing here because they have an on-site ski shop and a shuttle that took us right to the ski slopes! We made it to the mountains thanks to Ski Megeve and the most amazing ski instructor named Sofia with Oxygene Ski School 🎿 🏂. I couldn’t get over the views of Mont Blanc from St. Gervais slopes and gondolas. We had the best time snowboarding and skiing, but also playing in the snow and riding the unexpected zip line! We made it to @#megevemoments ❄️! We entered a winter wonderland with the most amazing views. We spent our first day exploring the village, ice skating with Le Palaise Megève ⛸️, and taking in the Christmas-y charm of the village 🎄. This is the first time the kids have gotten to play in substantial snow since our trip to Tahoe a couple of years ago, so they were so excited to get to play in the snow.
