Order ahead or pick up the ingredients below from any of the 27 Gelson’s locations across Southern California and lmk which recipe you’re trying first! #gelsons #gelsonsmarket #ilovegelsons #lifetastesbetterhere  Peppermint Espresso Martinis 🍸 Shake together the following over ice:  1 (or 2) shots of vodka  2 shots espresso  1 shot coffee liqueur  1/2 shot half & half  1/4 shot peppermint schnapps or 2 drops of peppermint extract  Peppermint Brownies 🍫 For the Brownies: * 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter * 1 cup granulated sugar * 3 large eggs  * 1 tsp vanilla extract * 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder * 1 cup almond flour * 1 tsp baking powder * 1 tsp salt For the Chocolate Ganache: * 2/3 cup heavy cream * 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Topping: * Crushed candy canes (optional, for garnish) Instructions:  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave. 2. Stir the sugar into the melted butter until combined. 3. Beat in the eggs until smooth. 4. Mix in the vanilla extract. 5. In a separate bowl, combine the cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually sift & fold in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. 6. Pour the batter into a greased or lined 9x9 baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. 7. To make the ganache: Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it's just about to boil, then remove from heat. Gradually whisk in the chocolate chips until smooth. 8. Once the brownies have cooled, pour the ganache over the top and spread evenly. 9. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes for a festive touch, if desired. 10. Let the ganache set before cutting into squares.
