Fully letting go of your old lifestyle & identity is hard…. God convicted me of my wardrobe a few months ago but i still hadnt got rid of the clothes…..why was i holding onto a part of my life that didn’t glorify God? why was i still attached to the things that no longer served me a purpose? When i woke up on Saturday, God made it very clear that today was the day i had to let go. God already did his part in delivering me from the identity that was attached to these clothes, but we have a responsibility to do our part to seal the deal. My closet was still full of my old lifestyle, old memories, old sin……how could God ever bless me with new if i’m still full of the old? Can you tell the exact moment i found Jesus? 2024 was the BIGGEST lesson i’ve experienced in life thus far. I lost more than i can name, but by his grace and mercy i gained 100x more than what the world could’ve ever given me. Everything we sacrifice in the name of Jesus he SEE’s, & trust that he will replace with things that are unattainable by man alone. Every “friend” i lost was replaced with a new brother/sister in Christ, every “no” was fueling a bigger “yes”, every test was building my testimony, and every tear was watering the soil for this new creation to bloom🌼. There is no growth, where there is comfort. There is no healing, where there is no brokenness. The journey of burying your old life, old habits and old identity is not an easy one - but trust me when i say it’s ✨WORTH IT✨. You’ll go through the fire 🔥 but you won’t come out smelling like smoke! You’ll come out stronger, wiser, bolder and with a new identity in CHRIST! The love, the joy, the peace, the contentment, the healing, the happiness and the trust you find within God is unexplainable. But you have to go through the process of being uprooted, watered and nurtured before a new thing can bloom.
