I had the pleasure of making custom cookie kits for Netflix. I also had over 200 custom-decorated cookies due the same week. Somehow, someway, I managed to pull off over 700 cookies in a seven-day period. I still remember my first week of making cookies—someone wanted to order two dozen cookies, and I almost turned down the order because I didn’t think I could make them within a week. Recently, a random person replied to one of my Instagram stories after I joked that I haven’t seen my sanity since November. They told me I should be grateful. Grateful is an understatement—honestly, I wake up every day feeling lucky that I get to do something I love for a living. But it’s also true that someone can feel more than one thing at a time. So YES, I’m grateful. But I’m also tired, and that’s okay. Being a one-woman business owner is HARD. Solving problems and making decisions alone is HARD. You have to learn to let go, take risks, and say yes to things without exactly knowing how you’re going to do it. Thanks for being a part of my life. I appreciate you for even reading this.
