Testimony My brother was in the hospital three times in a few months. Each time was critical, and he suffered from a lack of oxygen to his brain. August 10, 2022 I stood by his bedside when the doctors delivered some heavy news. They looked me in the eyes and said, “Your brother has had multiple instances of oxygen deprivation. We can’t say if he will recover this time. He may be brain dead. All we can do is wait.” Those words hit me hard. As I looked at my brother, I was reminded that in a similar way for 40 days I watch my mom slowing slip away….. After the doctors left, the Holy Spirit quickly reminded me of what he instructed me to do on my way to the hospital. He told me to lay hands on my brother and command healing, to document for proof of what He was about to do so my brother would know that God is our healer. I immediately went into prayer. After I was done I left the hospital feeling peaceful, assured that God would fulfill this promise. The next day, I returned to see God’s promise fulfilled: my brother's eyes were wide open! I’m sharing this not to suggest that this is going to always be the outcome just because you want it to be, but rather in response to my commitment to follow God’s guidance. He wanted to demonstrate His presence as the I AM. I poured my heart into prayers for my mother, yet the results were not what I had hoped for, and the reasons may remain a mystery to me. What I do know for certain is that God is inherently good, and I place my trust in His flawless plans. If you’ve prayed earnestly and haven’t received the answers you desired, keep in mind that "His promises" hold greater significance than our own—yes and amen.
