This is one of mine and my children’s favorite songs to sing together! As silly as it seems, this song fits in everyone’s life. We would all like to think we know it all or we have it all figured out. We would all like to think we don’t need God’s help and we know what’s best. But I will always attest to the fact that I cannot always trust my feelings and they most times steer me away from the plan God has for my life. It’s easier to lean on our own understandings and cling to our feelings and emotions of hurt, anger, frustration etc. I promise you though, if you take the harder route of leaning into the Lord and laying all your feelings at his feet, it’s much less exhausting and brings you a peace you would have never known otherwise. #creatorsearchinsights So here’s the thing, sometimes people just aren’t good for you or with you. Sometimes in spite of all of your efforts you have to let go and go your seperate way. Let go and pray for them. Sometimes it’s as simple as setting boundaries for yourself and for others. Sometimes God will keep you in someone’s life to help bring them closer to him or because the other person will teach you and help you grow closer to him. Whatever the case may be.. I’ve learned we should always go into any relationship with the intentions of growth, forgiveness, and love. Sometimes Iron sharpens iron and people can improve each other through mutual support and challenges and help one another become better versions of themselves. It is also ok to pray and love from a distance if something continually pulls you away from the Lord and it has run its course. Either way love and prayer is needed! It’s always needed… I’ve also learned through every relationship, friendship, or situation that God will point me in the right direction if I listen. He will convict my heart and lead me in every relationship. I will indeed make mistakes too, but it won’t go without the Lord speaking to my heart and guiding me through my growth. He will tell me when I need work, when someone else does, or when I need to let go.
