As a kid, you grow up thinking you’ll be married with kids in your 20’s, that being an adult is so cool, you crave that freedom, and it never crosses your mind how hard life can truly get. As you age, you realize life is a series of choices. A choice to go after that dream job, a choice to put yourself out there and be willing to get hurt, a choice to be a good person because no one is watching you at all times anymore, a choice to be loyal, and a choice to stay or to leave certain situations. One huge choice you have as an adult is your faith. When you’re wondering “why me” it’s easy to get down on yourself, and I’ve been in that space longer than I’d like to admit. All the what if’s seem to hit like a ton of bricks, “what if I never get married” “what if I never love again” “what if I don’t have kids” “what if no one likes me” “what if I don’t make it”- when you lean into your faith, you have no choice but to trust HIS timing. What’s meant for you will never pass you. And you haven’t been forgotten.
