After being stood up for over FIVE hours by the first towing company (even after calling twice to confirm someone was coming), I am grateful it happened. 💯 I thought I’d have to tow my RV to a storage lot first and then later to an RV shop once I could confirm they’d accept my insurance. But because of the delay, I didn’t need to tow it at all. 🙌🏼 While I was waiting in the Walmart parking lot, a driver from A & A Towing and Recovery saw me and asked if I needed help. He was shocked the first company hadn’t come yet and even called them on my behalf. Five minutes later, the first company canceled the job altogether. 🙄 I called A & A Towing, and within THREE minutes, they arrived. Ken, the driver, looked at my RV and suggested a simpler solution. He offered to remove the damaged awning instead. He even checked my tires when I mentioned they looked wonky and confirmed they were fine. 🛞 Ken removed the awning and didn’t charge me a single penny. What could’ve been a costly, stressful situation turned into a reminder that there are still good, honest people in the world. 🥹♥️🫶🏼 SPECIAL thanks to A & A Towing and Recovery. RISKY RESCUE OF MISSING DOG IN FRIGID WATERS Chris MacRitchie heroically rescued a dog named Arizona struggling in the icy Winooski River in Berlin, Vermont, on January 10, 2025. Spotted by his son, Ace, while at a Dunkin’ drive-thru, MacRitchie quickly jumped into the frigid waters to save the struggling animal. His wife provided warmth for the dog after it was safely brought ashore. The dramatic rescue, captured on video by his son, went viral on social media. MacRitchie, a dog owner himself, felt compelled to act, saying, "I would hope someone would do that for my dogs if they were in that spot." The dog, Arizona, had been missing since January 9. It takes a village to help injured wildlife. A Good Samaritan noticed this owl hanging by fishing line in a tree. Shelter Dog Faith. Faith was a stray in last summer a #goodsamaritan was able to wrangle her into a pool house so her #hero, ACO Bob, was able to rescue her. Faith is going to need lots of patience and love to learn to trust. She will need some behavior modification as she is uncomfortable with a collar and leash. She has some hot spots on her neck, evidence of skin allergies all over, specially on her sore 🐾. While Faith may look unsure and down on her luck, what she doesn’t know yet is that she will have lots of kind folks, like you, rooting for her!
