In 1988, the Gulf Breeze Sports Association (GBSA) from Gulf Breeze, Florida, took the stage at the NCA High School Nationals, competing in the All-Star Division. This was a time before the iconic teams we know today—before @CHEER ATHLETICS PANTHERS @SENIOR ELITE 👗 @ORANGE RAYS🍊 _ , @✨Official account! 💫 —had made their mark on the cheerleading world. The Large Senior division—the oldest at NCA All-Star—was still in its formative years. Pioneering programs like GBSA laid the groundwork for what would become one of the most celebrated, competitive, and elite divisions in all-star cheerleading. No super gyms, no viral moments—just raw talent, grassroots passion, and the foundation of an all-star empire. The Gulf Breeze Sports Association is a community volunteer organization based at the Gulf Breeze Community Center. Over the years, GBSA has been instrumental in promoting youth sports, including cheerleading, within the community. Looking back at these early performances offers a glimpse into the humble beginnings of all-star cheerleading and highlights the contributions of teams like GBSA in shaping the sport’s rich history. 📢 The road to NCA 2025 continues. We’re counting down the rivalries, routines, and unforgettable moments that built this sport. 💭 Who was the first all-star team you remember watching?
