I had most of these supplies already, so truly my only expense was on boards + paint, with the total being only $91! 💸 ‼️ However, If you’re investing in all materials from scratch, here’s a rough estimate of your cost breakdown: - MDF 2x4ft sheets (have measurements ready and ask the hardware store to cut down your boards if you don’t have a table saw) ➡️ 3 x $13.54 - caulk, painters tape, wood filler, nails ➡️ $20 - hand level ➡️ $10 - gallon of paint ➡️ $50 - liquid nailz + caulk gun ➡️ $12 * you can use this instead of a nail gun and apply it to the back of the boards! 💰Total: $133 🔗all supplies for this projects can be found on my page in my Amazon storefront! Hallway Makeover Day 1: this hallway needed a serious glow up, it's dark, it's narrow, it's boring. When I started pinning hallways I loved they all had box molding, so that's exactly what we decided to do. With some trial and error we figured it out and even without paint, I can't even tell you how much of a difference it made. I am so excited about this one!! I know they make peel & stick molding (which I think is so cool) but after researching, they aren't super durable, esp, in high traffic areas like this & I love that when you do it yourself you get to customize your own sizing. Day 2 of creating a cozy hallway I actually want to walk through! #ad As you know, from day 1, this hallway was in dire need of a glow up and in order to make this glow up happen, a very important piece was new lighting! After doing our research, we decided to go with the Philips - the Slim 6-Inch LED recessed lights! I love these lights because they can be installed virtually anywhere as it doesn’t require an attic or housing! They have a sleek, slim look and you have the choice between five different color temperatures before install. We went with the 3,000 and wow, it made all the difference! I'm going to be completely honest with you, I don't think I realized just how much lighting impacted a space until creating this video and seeing the before and after. I am so impressed with these lights and it makes me even more excited for the final reveal. Tomorrow we will choose carpet, style the walls & then..the final reveal!
