HICKORY, from the “Foreclosure 3” was ADOPTED! He is the one that had the eye issue and so many helped us out with the vet bill (thank you again). He was the kitten living in a cage in a house in Forclosure with no electricity. NOW- he has a family who will love him forever! His offical happy tail will post soon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #babies #nonprofit #501c3 #adoptdontshop #furrynationsalvation #babykitten #pets #gato #catsofinstagram #FYP #volusiacounty #florida #fosterneeded #furrynationsalvation #kittens #abandoned #rescuer #helpingcats #adoptme #kidsandpets #adoptme #fosteringsaveslives #watchthisinstagood #kittenlife #spayneutersaveslives #tnr #trapneuterreturn #furrynationhappytail #spayandneuter #spayandneuteryourpets
Last week we mentioned that we had to take 3 kitties to the vet…Woody for his bladder, Rocky for his eye, and Foxy…for her knee and hip. She and Woody love each other and love to play like crazy. It’s great for Foxy to be a little more active, as this will help with her weight (she likes to eat, and is now on measured scheduled feedings). But, Foxy isn’t really used to being so active. This extra action caused her to limp a little more than usual so we took her in for a shot called Solensia. It’s a monthly shot to help cats that have arthritis. And basically, because of Foxy’s injury healing the way it did, she has arthritis formed on her hip and knee. We spoke to her vet who said that she may not actually be in pain. It may just be that because of the way the injury healed, she will always walk with a limp. She has been on the gabapentin for over a month, and we really haven’t seen any difference  with that. We will know within a few weeks if this shot will help. For now, she’s relaxing her leg and hip a bit as Woody relaxes from his recent neuter and cystitis issues. Foxy was rescued from the shelter over the summer with a severe case of scabies and a healed, broken tail. Once the scabies healed, we noticed that she walked with a limp. We put her on cage rest for a few months, but she did not get better. In December, our vet did xrays and found that Foxy had old healed injuries in both her hip and knee as well. She was most likely hit by a car. Arthritis has formed where the injuries occurred, so we have been treating her with gabapentin for the inflammation. It hasn’t helped much so we are trying the Solensia shot to see if she gets better on that. #babies #nonprofit #501#501c3o#adoptdontshopab#babykittent#petst#gatot#catsofinstagramp #FYP#volusiacountyo#floridas#fosterneededrrynationsalvation #kittens #abandoned #res#rescuerl#helpingcatso#adoptmed#kidsandpetso#adoptmes#fosteringsaveslivest#watchthisinstagoodt#kittenlifea#spayneutersaveslivesr#tnra#trapneuterreturnx#fixyourcata#spayandneutera#spayandneuteryourpetsto

It’s been over 2 months since we shared an update on Dovey’s progress. (Her initial story down below). I have dealt with a few harder cases in my 15 years of rescue, but never a cat that was so incredibly unpredictable. Dovey just wants to be loved and be pet, but the smallest wrong move can trigger her to lash out in an aggressive way of biting, clawing, and hissing . After she stayed with us a week, the awesome Randie asked if she could give her a try as she has worked with many feral and aggressive cats in the past (and still does). OF COURSE, we took her up on this opportunity. It’s been almost 2 1/2 months now, and although the foster has got to understand her triggers more clearly, she again, is just super unpredictable. We have gotten her off all dry food (why so many cats get dehydration related health issues) and only eating Fancy Feast chicken pate wet food 2 times a day. Her fur is softer now. But we are trying to figure out her next home as she is just not a good candidate to go back up for adoption. HER STORY IF JUST NOW SEEING THIS: 2 years ago, Dovey was a baby kitten, who was rescued from living on a filthy trailer porch & known as being a part of the “Trailer 3” litter. She was adopted for a Christmas gift for a girlfriend, but after 2 year, a marriage, and the arrival of a new baby, Dovey is now returned back to our rescue 😟. She had some aggressive behaviors towards the new baby and developed some other issues in the home.🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹 #saynotodryfood ##babies #nonprofit #501c3 #kittenneedshelp #adoptdontshop #furrynationsalvation #babykitten #sweestestvideo #pets #gato #catsofinstagram #FYP #volusiacounty #florida #fosterneeded #helpneeded #thrifty #furrynationsalvation #kittens #nameus #catsoftheworld #rescuer #helpingcats #adoptme #kidsandpets #preciousvideo #adoptme #fosteringsaveslives #watchthisinstagood #kittenlife

Hope everyone is staying warm out there as “Shakes” our CH kitten (otherwise known as Wobbly kitten syndrome) surely is! He just loves snuggling with my daughter every single night. Shakes has definitely become part of our family, temporarily, and we are loving every second of it! Shakes NEVER stops purring & loves other animals! My daughter Winter has made me promise to NOT rehome him till after this Christmas break (which is almost ending), so he is here to stay till then. Soon we will be looking for a very special home for this very special kitten where he has a safe indoor only home with a younger cat to attack 😉 & a family to love on him. With LOTS AND LOTS of wet food! If you are just now meeting our Shakes, I figured we would tell you more about him. He has cerebellar hypoplasia, otherwise known as wobbly kitten syndrome. This is a condition in which the cerebellum, the part of the brain that is responsible for coordination and balance, does not develop properly. It results in cats that have exaggerated movements of their legs and head, as those movements are normally controlled by the cerebellum. There are different severities of this condition, and Shakes is definitely blessed to have the lesser version! 160 days (Cocoa, Florida 🌴) Well, it’s not her birthday…but we definitely gonna party like it’s her birthday. What’s the celebration all about? Well, it’s all about… A MEET AND GREET FOR NECTAR ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10!!! We have been messaging and talking to an awesome gal for a few weeks about Nectar, and she just couldn’t stop thinking about that little orange kitty. She’s going to come and meet her next weekend. We are beyond ecstatic! Paws crossed! Nectar was originally rescued in March of last year after she was alone in an apartment for over a week. She then ended up in the unadoptable area at the shelter as she was fearful and acting out. We rescued her and worked with her for several months. She was adopted in May, but returned a few months later in August as it wasn’t the best fit for her. She has been back in foster care since then, 160 days! #furrynationsalvation #mothertheresa #homeneeded #adoptdontshop #tuxesocat #tuxedo #cats #nonprofit #hel#helpust#kittenso#adoptdontshopto #gingercat #gingercats #nonprofitsoftiktok #helpingcats #helpushelpthem
