6 Hip Surgeries Later and My Hip Story Journey Part 1 Is Officially Up On My YouTube Channel! 🫶🏽 This is me explaining everything I went through with just my hips alone from childhood up until my 4th surgery. It will help anyone going through hip problems and hopefully give them a more direct path forward than I was able to have. I also have a hip guide pdf and you can book a zoom call with me or online training! All the links are in my bio! The hip journey is under my Health, Fitness, & Chronic Illness Podcast Tab in my bio. 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 • #hips #hippain #hipstory #hipsurgery #hippainrelief #hipsurgeryrecovery #hipsurgeryrehab #pao #paosurgery #paorecovery #ehlersdanlos #pots #dysautonomia #ehlersdanlossyndrome #surgery #paowarrior #hipdysplasia #hipdysplasiaawareness
People want to know how I recover so well after all of my surgeries or how I do so well having Ehlers Danlos, POTS/dysautonomia, neuropathy, etc. If I listened to all of the people who told me not to workout and just take it easy after my surgeries I wouldn’t be where I am. If I listened to the doctors who told me not to lift weights with my health conditions I wouldn’t be where I am. I crutch to the f-ing gym and to the cold plunge and sauna and it’s embarrassing but I do it. I have to ask for help. People look at me funny. Yes it is really hard. Yes I am in pain. But my upper body is the strongest it’s ever been even after 6 surgeries and I continue to push in hopes of regaining my lower body as well. My health wavers but I am doing well and I make sure to rest and recover as well. I do my PT exercises and I see the chiro and massage therapist. If anyone needs help working through their health or surgery please reach out for online or in person training! I’d love to help. Replying to @Marvin I had a hip arthroscopy in June 2023. A lot of you have been asking how quick I got back to exercising, so here it is! As a disclaimer, it’s important to be realistic about your recovery. For this surgery, it took a long time, and I am still healing. I also had years of prior lifting knowledge and muscle strength to aid in all of this, so please only look at this as a case scenario. ✨PT phase: - June 8th I had surgery - Biking by day 2 - Tried upper body light exercises seated June 19 - July 9 - quad extension, still ok on crutches, could put light weight on my surgery leg - July 18 start walking with 1 crutch, weight bearing PT exercises ✨PT & independent exercise: - Aug 5 abduction exercises, mostly PT, light lifting - Light restricted lifting in August, had some popping when do I my some movements - interval running program started Oct 19 - Some running Dec 6, mostly lifting and getting stronger #hiparthroscopy #hipsurgeryrecovery #hipsurgery #injuryrecovery #gymgirl #gymmotivation
