Replying to @Marcelle Dunn 1 cup warm water 2¼ tsp dry active yeast 1 tbsp honey or real maple syrup 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen 1 tbsp real maple syrup 3 1/2 cups flour cornmeal for pan frying - In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water, 2¼ tsp yeast & 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup; Let stand for about 5 mins until foamy - While your yeast is proofing, prepare the blueberries. In a small saucepan, heat 2 cups of blueberries over stovetop with 1 tbsp maple syrup. Once simmering, turn off heat and gently mash berries with a fork or spoon to release juices. Let cool. - Add flour and blueberries to the large bowl with your proofed yeast, stirring until a shaggy dough forms. - Transfer dough onto a floured surface and work with your hands to form a dough ball, adding more flour as needed if too sticky. Transfer dough to the same large mixing bowl, lightly oiled. Cover with plastic wrap & let sit on counter for about 1 hr, until double in size. - Divide dough into 8 equal pieces and roll into a ball. Arrange dough pieces on a lined baking sheet and cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap to let rise another 30 mins while your oven preheats. - Preheat oven to 350℉. Place a lightly greased cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Dip each side of the dough ball into a bowl of corn meal before pan frying for 1-2 minutes each side, until a golden brown crust forms. Reduce heat to medium low if they are cooking too quickly. - Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes to ensure they are cooked all the way through. Allow to cool some before slicing and serving. Enjoy! xo Hailey 💙 #Recipe #homemadefood #madefromscratch #breadtok #homemadebread #breadmaking #englishmuffins #breakfastideas #healthy

Baking my first batch of bread in 2025!!! Here’s one minute of me punching the dough. I have found in my years of baking that a hearty kneading of the dough and three total rises gives you the most amazing bread with excellent crumb and texture. 😊 I cannot wait to slice into a loaf and eat that piping hot end piece slathered in butter and maybe some homemade strawberry jam. 🍞 Get my bread recipe on my website www.myeverydayordinarylife.com. It’s called Mamaw’s Homemade Bread. Link is in my bio. ✨ Like my apron? I have them for sale in my shop on my website. I’ve discounted them for the new year! They are sewn by my mother whom we lovingly call Mamaw. 💕 #homemadebread #Recipe #dough #bread #homebaker

Homemade sandwich bread. In a large bowl, add 2 cups warm water (roughly 110 degrees), 1 tbsp active dry yeast, and 1 tbsp honey. Stir then let bloom. Once your yeast is activated, add 2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp melted butter, and 1/4 cup honey. Stir then add 5 cups of flour - either bread or all purpose. Stir. Once your dough starts to stick to your spoon or spatula, knead with your hands - either in the bowl or on the counter. If your dough is still a little sticky, you may need to add more flour. Once your flour is fully incorporated and your dough is no longer sticking to your hands, place your dough in a greased bowl and cover with either Saran Wrap or a damp towel. Let rise for an hour or until doubled in size. After your dough has doubled, it’s time to shape into loaves. Cut your dough in half and roll into a loaf - making sure to pinch the seams. Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes (or until doubled in size). After the 30 minutes, it’s time to bake. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Once out of the oven, top with butter. Allow your dough to cool completely before cutting. Slice and enjoy! #mom #family #nospend #budget #budgeting #baking #cooking #madefromscratch #homemade #homemadefood #ingredientsonly #homemaker #homestead #simpleliving #foodpreservation #vacuumseal #freezer #deepfreezer #kitchenrestock #preservingfood #freezerstash #mealplanning #mealprepping #homemadekitchenrestock #homemadebread #breadmaking #2025 #newyears

Have you ever wondered if you could turn dough scraps into a sourdough starter? I thought it’d be fun to try—and it actually worked! If you already have a starter, you definitely don’t need to do this, but it was such a cool experiment to see just how amazing and resilient sourdough really is. I love it so much! This was a repost of this video that I posted a year ago today, time flies!❤️ #Sourdough #SourdoughStarter #SourdoughBread #HomemadeBread #BakingFromScratch #SourdoughLove #SourdoughLife #BreadBaking #NaturalFermentation #ArtisanBread #SourdoughJourney #WildYeast #HomeBaker #Fermentation #BreadMaking #SourdoughTips #BakingExperiment #SourdoughBaking #RealBread #BreadLovers
