Tying a slip knot 😎 - use a good quality halter and lead rope, it makes all the difference. All of mine in my program are from @weaverequine. This week we are talking about tying good, solid, and safe knots for our horses. We are starting with a simple “slip knot”. It’s a great and fast knot that stays secure when needed. The only downfall to it is when you have a smart horse that figures out how to pull the tail and untie themselves. 🤣 As I show here, you can get around that by taking the tail back through the loop, but then if it gets pulled tight- it’s no longer a slip knot. So keep that in mind when choosing this knot. Checkout the slow motion reel for tying a slip knot if you’re a beginner learning. That makes it a little easier to follow along. If you’re shopping over at Weaver for some new halters, code: MARTY10 will save you a little.
