Celebrating love is always a vibe—whether it’s your own or someone else’s special day. As a wedding guest, I spent the day soaking up all the beautiful energy of a couple’s union while reflecting on my own journey. Here’s the thing: love can happen at any age. Society might tell you that being a single Black woman almost 40 with no kids and no ring is a ‘problem,’ but honestly? I’m not pressed. Social media and real life will try to remind you that you’re ‘behind,’ but I don’t see it that way. I’m out here living life on my terms—staying on my Zoom, minding my business, and crushing personal goals. Am I open to love? Of course! But actively pursuing it? Not so much. I’m just here, day by day, trusting that the right timing will come—and in the meantime, I’m celebrating others and doing me unapologetically. • Thank you to the bride and groom for sharing their special day with me @victoriaajebeauty . .
