Ending Birthright Citizenship - An executive order was signed to challenge the constitutional right of birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to parents who are not legally in the country, aiming to restrict automatic citizenship. 3. Reinstating "Remain in Mexico" Policy - Trump reinstated the "Migrant Protection Protocols" (MPP), commonly known as the "Remain in Mexico" policy, where asylum seekers are required to wait in Mexico while their U.S. immigration cases are processed. 4. Asylum Restrictions - A directive was issued to further limit asylum claims by invoking Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows the president to suspend entry of any class of aliens. This includes immediate removal processes without the possibility of asylum for those caught between ports of entry. 5.
