Ahh! A marathon you say? So cliche. 💁♀️😁 The absence of fitness goals that inspire me the past couple years has been hard on me. Its been completely necessary for me to prioritize other things, but I'm really looking forward to the grind of training. The butterflies, the tears, the triumphs, the “I don't wannas”, the lessons, and the confidence that pursuing a hard thing like this instills in me. I've struggled with feeling like my value is tied to my body, performance, & accomplishments my whole life. So, I'm glad I waited to add this to my list. This is going t be a JOURNEY, and as I sit here & type this - the only thing I know for sure is that it won't go as I plan. 😅😂 But a pursuit like this is so important to me, and I feel privileged to be able to try. I'm looking forward to sharing the ups & downs with you all as I navigate the hard things I don't get to choose alongside this. I feel empowered to dream this year and let bold thoughts win, instead of backing away. What do you have planned this year? Is it a year of rest? Are you learning to cook or tackling a new hobby? Are you starting something new or learning to love where you're at? Are you pursuing a new fitness goal or letting your body rest? I know it can be easy to get caught up in the new years pressure, and it can kinda take away the fun & hope of a new year & season. So, I just want to say that whatever you want from this year is enough. You're enough. And we’re going to do hard things together. ❤️ —- •Also a note here that I’d love no commentary on my body’s ability to run. I'm familiar with my body from years of training & life, and listen to it carefully! 🤗• . .
