The OG Indie Boy // Chances are if you know me from this app, it’s because of this video. The community on this app has changed my life in so many ways! When this video first popped off and inspired the 2020 #IndieBoy trend, it put me on the trajectory to now, where I’ve had the privilege to work for brands and artists handling their short-form content. That never would have happened if it weren’t for y’all being interested in my work on here! Some pretty rad opportunities came my way because of y’all: In 2020 I got asked to audition for a Netflix show because the character was a drummer and the casting agent had seen my videos on here. (Didn’t get the role but grateful to have been considered.) My first time ever going to Europe was to do social media for a band during their 2022 tour! My videos have been discussed in several media publications, and some were even screened in front of 50,000 people! That’s all wild to think about. Most importantly though, I got to connect with SO MANY people from all walks of life. Because of connections I’ve made through TikTok, I’ve had the opportunity to play drums with some really rad artists and I’ve met some stellar content creators that inspire me every day. HOPEFULLY we’ll still be on here in the future, but if not, I would be remiss not to say a big THANK YOU to you all.
