There is NO worse feeling than to… Roll over, look at your dexcom and see that you’re 274 for no explicable reason…. Because now you are: ❌dehydrated AF ❌lacking energy and feeling exhausted ❌potentially nauseous and lightheaded from dehydration ❌in a mental fog And now, you’re supposed to slap a smile on your face and go conquer the world, right?! Instead, you’d rather lay in bed and stare at the ceiling and pray your number comes down quickly… A couple things you can do to expedite that process: 1️⃣DRINK A LOT OF WATER. Start early. Consume a LOT. It’ll not only help your blood sugar return to normal levels in conjunction with the insulin, but also tackle the dehydration….
#goodbyeheadache 2️⃣Delay food for a little while, until blood sugars return closer to normal levels. Since you’re already so insulin resistant, food is going to likely spike your BGs higher and higher, which would be the exact opposite of what we want, right? Now that you’re feeling better,, you want to make sure you are amongst the most successful people, who think about where it came from. Was it a meal the night before that kicked in late from fat? Was it dawn phenomenon? Was it a bad site? And then of course, determine strategies to prevent it from happening again!
