A couple years ago we were new to this app and just making a video for ourselves that we thought was hilarious reinacting our childhood. We posted it and the next day it had gone viral. From there it took off. We’ve stepped away from it for a while, but in the thick of it, it was a way to feel connected in the middle of Covid to other people around the world. It was a way to laugh and find joy in the most ridiculous skits, dances, and trends. It paid for our first Disney trip so we were able to go as a family. It helped me get my equipment to start my photography businesses. It lead us to meet some really great people who would’ve otherwise just been strangers, and it has keep me up to date on current events, kept me laughing, given me book recommendations, taught me how to do random thing, given me recipes. It truly has just been a great tool in our house for a lot of different reasons. We’ll be on Insta, but this honestly will always be the app that means the most to us. As silly as that sounds.
