It's been cold out, so I've been warming up with the Sapporo Soup Curry! An iconic comfort food from Hokkaido Japan, it's filled with spices & hearty ingredients, perfect for the winter! [Ingredients] 1 diced onions 2 tbsp butter 1/3 canned tomatoes 2 tsp each of grated ginger & garlic 1 bay leaf, 2 chili peppers (optional) 600ml water, chicken broth or stock (depends on your preferred richness) 2 chicken drumsticks, salt & pepper Chopped veggies (carrot, peppers, brocolli, shimeji shrooms used in video) [Spice Ingredients] 1 tsp curry powder 2 tsp coriander 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt 1. Dice up onions, carmelize with butter to your desired patience level. 2. Add canned tomatoes, grated garlic & ginger. Saute for a few minutes as you break them up. 3. Lower the heat, then add the spices above. Entangle it all up, do not let it burn! 4. Pour water/chicken stock or broth, bring to a boil, lower the heat. 5. Cover chicken drumsticks in salt & pepper, lightly fry in olive oil. 6. Put into pot along with a bay leaf and chili peppers. 7. Put on lid, simmer in low heat for about 15 minutes. 8. Lightly fry desired veggies, put all into a bowl, enjoy!
