“Khecarī mudrā is a hatha yoga practice carried out by curling the tip of the tongue back into the mouth until it reaches above the soft palate and into the nasal cavity. Four stages of Khecarī mudrā. The tongue (red) is progressively stretched, and the frenulum of the tongue sufficiently severed, over a period of months, until it can be turned back so as to reach inside the nasal cavity, and supposedly manipulate the flow of bindu. The goal is to attain liberation in the body, by sealing in the energy of bindu in the head so that it is not lost. A regular, proficient practice of Khechari Mudra (tongue lock) is said to release the very elixir of life. The term “khechari” is derived from two Sanskrit roots translated as “one who moves the sky.” Universal Awareness In other words, an ardent practice of this tongue lock mudra will propel a devotee into a state of the universal awareness of God. As the tongue puts pressure on the soft palate in the middle indentation located on the roof of the mouth, a variety of sensitive glands are stimulated and release tiny drops of ambrosial nectar. This ambrosial nectar is known as amrita in Sanskrit. It is said to relieve all hunger and thirst in very advanced practitioners. For the rest of us, it clears the energetic pathways of the Sushumna Nadi. It allows the awakened Kundalini Shaktienergy to continue her ascension through the seven chakras until she pierces the Crown Chakra, where the devotee’s consciousness merges into God’s consciousness. Regular practice of this mudra will keep these energetic pathways clear and stabilize a practitioner’s consciousness in the higher chakras. Physical Benefits 1. Increased flexibility in the spine. 2. Improved circulation throughout the body. 3. A strengthening of the immune system. 4. A detoxification of the body via the stimulation of the lymphatic system. 5. An improvement in digestion 6. A reduction in stress levels and an increase in the overall sense of well-being.” RP by @rathelightbearer #reels #reelsinstagram #reelitfeelit #heal#yoga #yogainspiration #video #reelsvideo #chakras #kundalini #viral #kundaliniyoga#mudra #energy #healing#thirdeye#consciousness
