I know I’ll get questions so here are some answers in advance. 1) My baby was born at home and I had extensive 3rd degree tearing my midwife was not qualified to repair so I went to the ER to get stitched and ended up going under general for 2/3hrs to get repaired. 2) my son was at my moms house with my mom while I was at the ER with my husband waiting to get sitched. When I went back to the OR, my husband went and slept in the car in the parking lot. 3) looking back, I’m sure my husband was fine, but I head genuinely scared we’d crash on the way home and the way they handled that fear was not it. 4) my oldest sister ended up coming to pick me up and my husband followed behind us. #labor #delivery #nurses #nursing #3rddegreetear #baby #burth #laborstory

I never posted this because I was embarrassed of my neck after my postpartum eyes saw it. But almost 2 years later I can look back and laugh! I was headed to 🎯 at 38 weeks pregnant but suddenly had some light contractions that were regular so I stopped at the hospital prepared for them to just say they were Braxton hicks and send me on my way. Lo and behold, I was 7 cm! I was starving. I know it’s against best advice to not eat after getting an epidural, but in my mind at the time-a French fry was worth breaking the rules.
