Happy Birthday in heaven, Amelia 🩷 We celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Amelia’s finding. She was found in Eagle Creek Park on December 28th, 2014. Indiana has not had an abandoned and deceased baby since her finding. Amelia’s legacy, education about the Safe Haven Law, and the spread of Safe Haven Baby Boxes has changed the landscape for Indiana, and the nation. Amelia’s footprint is on the Safe Haven Baby Box logo, and every mother who chooses to safely and anonymously surrender her precious baby will see her footprint.
