my washday staples ππ Would you try? leave-in spray ingredients: carrot skins, dried rosemary, dried lavender, dried chamomile, filtered water instructions: boil 15-20 minutes, strain & store in glass container or use in spray bottle optional: add essential oils, use warm if you have low porosity hair! store in fridge; discard after 72 hours (perishable) flaxseed gel ingredients: above leave-in spray + flaxseeds; add water if necessary, amla berry powder, ashwhaganda powder, han lian cao, & he sho wu instructions: bring flaxseeds & water-base to boil (water or leave-in from above, whichever you have). Simmer until thick (about 15 minutes) then strain & combine with powders. Use: apply flaxseed gel to hair while warm; use as detangler or let sit for up to 2 hours. Use leave-in to rehydrate hair while detangling to avoid breakage. im so excited about these results! my hair took 4 days of braiding, the longest Iβve ever taken to do my hair. My source of inspiration: lots of scrolling on pinterest and an appreciation for dramatic layers <3 I like to style my hair in ways I would never do my own natural hair (definitely not cutting all these layers in my own hair lmao). I wanted to prove to myself that, with patience, I can do hard things and I can do them well.
