DOGS IN THE COLD - ADVOCATES CONCERNED. Who are you anyway? And who are you to be calling me up? Do you have 93 dogs in your rescue? Would you step up and take 25 dogs? No, but I've been an animal advocate for 30 years as well as a TV reporter as well. So I know what I'm talking about. I've got the experience. So who are you to ask that? That's not very... For you to call me up and judge me... I'm not judging you. Excuse me. Talk to my lawyer, you bastard, and stop talking to these two gay guys I fired. That was Heather Larson. She runs the rescue group, Love My Pitties. And I called her to ask about this: more than three dozen rescue dogs in Levy County, Florida, in the middle of the woods in these outdoor kennels. And tonight? A freeze warning for the area. Larson, I'm told, threatened the animal advocates who took the videos after they called the cops. Telling them, quote: "Stop calling the cops on me, you expletive. Expletive. My dogs are fine." So I called, and she told me about the rescue, and I listened and then asked this: Are you concerned about them being outside with the temperatures expected to dip below freezing tonight? First of all, temperatures have been below freezing every night for the two weeks. And second of all, no, I'm actually not. Half of these pups have never been in a house in their lives, ever. And once again, they're feral. They have igloos, tarps, they have hay. They're on rubber mats. They get walked every day. They're not suffering. I also spoke with the Levy County Sheriff's Office. The deputy telling me the dogs are fine. They may not have heaters, but they have food, water, and shelter, and that they're okay. The dogs appeared to be extremely healthy. No safety concerns. The sheriff's office reassuring me they'll be okay. But will they? With the cold and also after Larson's verbal tirade attacking me when I never provoked her.
