voice acting is a funny, weird and wonderful profession. unlike theater, we don’t get to hear the immediate impact of our performance - there’s no applause after a song, no giggling from an audience at a particularly funny line read. many times, we never even get to see the finished result - if the project doesn’t get distribution, sometimes it languishes for years never being seen. and then once in a blue moon, there’s a special project that gets virtually immediate positive reception, awards, and acclaim. like i said, funny, weird and wonderful. thank you to all who came to the new york premiere of
#livinglarge - i’m really proud of this one, and whether it gets an oscar nom or not, i’m floored by the performances of my friends and colleagues and so impressed with the final product. i learned tonight that production took 13 years (!!) to complete and it’s clear the amount of care and talent that went into making this film. bravo to all involved!
