I have gray hair, lots of age spots, and fine lines on my face. Even though I work out often, I don’t have toned abs 24/7. I bloat easily. My body has its wobbly bits, and gravity has done its thing over the years. I’m still the same person, but I can look so different depending on the moment. And when we compare ourselves to curated, filtered images on social media, it’s easy to lose sight of this truth. I am just living my life. We all age differently based on our lifestyles and genes—gray hair, wrinkles, curves, scars, or stretch marks. Don’t compare your 54 with mine, and I won’t compare mine with yours. That’s the beauty of being uniquely ourselves. Aging has taught me to see myself through a lens of gratitude rather than judgment.
