Hi there. Three things. First consider using the 5 Calls app - it makes contacting legislators easy and you can choose your issue, and they have scripts and a way to tally your calls. Also Resistbot is a great resource as well. And - please go to Individisible.org and join. People are asking what else they can do, and this is a great place to find out how to take action. Next, please remember that division is a strategy and a tool of oppressors, autocrats, fascists, and narcissists. While we’re arguing with each other, they’re breaching the treasury, and doing insider day trading on companies they make rules about. Stop arguing with your neighbors and people online - it may feel good, but it’s a time-waster. And sometimes the ones online are bots anyway! Save energy for legislators. If you’re tired of calling them, look them up and go visit their offices while you’re out running errands. Leave a message with their staffers. As always, be polite! Finally, let’s love our neighbors, and be generous in our assumptions. Bonus: Pick a legislator to call and thank! One more thing - votevets. Org is another great resource. Please call any republican senators and say NO to Patel, Voght, Gabbard, and RFK Jr. Then flood senators, reps, and the pres with calls, emails and tweets: Ask why we are threatening tariffs on our allies? The EU now? Really? Why is Musk allowed clearance into highly sensitive financial data of American citizens? He receives subsidies from our government? He wasn’t elected and there’s a giant conflict of interest. What are you doing to protect American citizens from this data breach happening before our eyes? Use your best judgment, but consider being polite because you’re talking to staffers, and politeness is a strategy, not a feeling. You can be angry and polite. Or not - use your best judgment. And then, please consider being generous and kind to all of your neighbors. Minimally don’t argue with them - save your energy for legislators.
