What a tremendous year 2024 has been for our family with so many incredible trips thanks to #pointsandmiles! Kicking off the year on the African continent for the African Cup of Nations and then following up with trips to #Belize & #Guatemala. We took⛷️ trips in Pennsylvania & Colorado, took the kids & grandma Patricia on spring break in #Tahiti and #Moorea. We also treated my parents to trips to Colombia & Brazil. For our wedding anniversary, we travelled back to the Maldives & explored Bali for the first time. We kicked off summer break with a mom daughter trip to the Florida Keys. We then headed to Montana & Wyoming for #nationalparks and capped it off with Banff. For Thanksgiving, we took the kids to Morocco and had an impromptu weekend in France when our flight was cancelled. We also took spur of the moment trips to Vegas, Indiana where Alexis is from, Philly, Hershey, Williamsburg, & Shenandoah valley. Overall, just for the year 2024, we estimate that we took over $150,000 in luxury trips and only paid a fraction of that amount. We knew we went a little crazy when the kids begged us to stay at home for this holiday season . Ooops 😂 All this is not meant to be for bragging rights but to show how points traveling has dramatically changed our family lives for the best & made it possible for our family to give the gift of traveling to our kids and loved ones. As contradictory as it would seem, by combining the points & miles game with financial concepts, it has made it possible for our family to attain #financialindependence all the while being able to travel as long as we have without affecting our budget. Regardless of the misconceptions or what one would say about the points & miles games, we invite those who have access to US travel rewards offers and considering it to dip their toes in, block off the noise and learn key concepts at a pace they feel comfortable with.
