99% of you don’t need to cut weight for the summer Building muscle is a very slow process & cutting weight won’t speed it up Low carbs & low amounts of protein in a cut will limit/prevent muscle gains So, how can you lose fat without losing weight on the scale? Start a main gaining phase This is the process of building muscle without losing weight, or gaining weight on the scale The goal with main gaining is to build muscle while maintaining your current body weight Here’s a quick main gaining guide below⬇️ No gain + ✅ performance: no change 0.25-0.5 Ibs gain + ✅ performance: No change 0.25-0.5 Ibs loss + ✅ performance: no change Lost weight 2 weeks in a row: increase cals No gain/loss + ❌ performance: increase cals 1Ib + Ibs gain: Decrease cals Main gaining will allow you to lose fat while building muscle at the same time, staying around your current body weight! It’ll also help you stick to a high carb high protein diet compared to being in a calorie deficit You should also consume 0.73-1g of protein per Ib of your current BW In terms of weighing yourself, you should be doing this everyday Take the average on the end of the week on Sundays in order to keep the process consistent Use the weekly average by comparing it to last week’s weekly average If you’re overweight, then you obviously need to cut weight!
