mastectomy hashtag performance

#Mastectomy celebrates strength, resilience, and healing. It raises awareness, shares experiences, fosters community, promotes education, encourages support, highlights survivor stories, provides resources, empowers individuals, and combats stigma surrounding breast cancer.
I was going for as flat as a prepubescent boy but a board works too 🙇🏻‍♀️ So grateful I did the second revision surgery 🙌🏽 ##BRCA##breastcancer##aestheticflatclosure##doublemastectomy##mastectomy##bodypositivity##womenempowerment##empoweredwomenempowerwomen##healthadvocate ##flattie##flattiebaddie
Society will often try to define you, box you in, and tell you who you should be. But you are not here to meet their expectations—you are here to break the mold. Every time you choose your path, speak your truth, or rewrite your story, you’re proving that the world doesn’t get to decide who you are—you do. There’s so much power in stepping away from what’s “expected” and instead embracing your authenticity. Yes, it can feel lonely at times, but remember: you are not alone. You are paving the way for others to do the same. Trust in the beauty of your journey. You are a force, and nothing is more inspiring than a woman who chooses herself—unapologetically. Keep rising. Keep resisting. Keep rewriting the rules. It’s been 3 weeks since my surgery which means I can now officially start using products on my scars to help them heal, flatten and lighten. Using this as my before video ✨ Some thoughts/concerns regarding my scars: There are some parts of my scars where I believe part of my stitches are poking through but I’m not sure (something to bring up in my next follow up) I’m worried the end of my left scar will keloid (again) but if it does, it’s not the end of the world 🤷🏻‍♀️ The beginning of my right scar is a little raised, hopefully with continued use of my compression binder it’ll flatten out 🙇🏻‍♀️ #BRCA #breastcancer #aestheticflatclosure #doublemastectomy #mastectomy #bodypositivity #womenempowerment #empoweredwomenempowerwomen #healthadvocate #flattie #flattiebaddie
To anyone preparing for or recovering from a double mastectomy, let’s talk about the compression binder—a key part of the healing process. After my surgery, I wore a compression binder to help manage swelling, improve circulation, and support my chest as my body adjusted to its new form. At first, it can feel tight and restrictive (and honestly, not super comfortable), but it’s such an important tool for healing. It helps reduce fluid buildup, encourages proper drainage, and minimizes discomfort as you recover. Here’s a little advice: •	Wear it as directed by your surgeon. Trust me, following their guidelines is essential for the best results. •	Layer with something soft underneath if it feels scratchy on your skin—think a lightweight cotton tank or medical bandages. •	Be patient with yourself. Healing is not a race, and your body needs time to adjust. Remember, this is temporary—a step in your recovery that’s helping you move toward your strongest self. If the binder ever feels unbearable or something doesn’t seem right, don’t hesitate to reach out to your care team. They’re there to help and support you through this. Whether you’re just beginning this journey or already in the healing process, you’ve got this. You are resilient, strong, and so much more than what any binder, scar, or surgery could ever define. Sending you love, strength, and a reminder that you’re never alone. #BRCA #breastcancer #aestheticflatclosure #doublemastectomy #mastectomy #bodypositivity #womenempowerment #empoweredwomenempowerwomen #healthadvocate #flattie #flattiebaddie

To my fellow girls’ girls, Being a woman means celebrating our individual choices and lifting each other up, no matter how different those choices might look. When I made the decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy and chose an aesthetic flat closure, it was a deeply personal choice based on my own journey, values, and priorities. For me, it was about reclaiming my body and my confidence in a way that felt authentic to who I am. I know some women might choose implants or reconstruction after a mastectomy, and I fully respect and support those decisions, too. Our bodies are our canvases, and every woman deserves the freedom to paint hers in the way that makes her feel most empowered. Being a supportive girls’ girl means showing up for each other, no matter what. It means celebrating our differences and understanding that there’s no “right” way to be beautiful, strong, or feminine. Whether you would have chosen implants, flat closure, or something else entirely, we’re all walking unique paths shaped by our own experiences. At the end of the day, our power lies in standing together, honoring our choices, and celebrating what makes each of us extraordinary. So, let’s continue to uplift each other and remind the world that we define our own beauty, on our own terms. It’s hard not to feel like a burden when we’re in a place where we need to rely on others for care. Whether it’s due to illness, emotional struggles, or physical incapacity, it’s easy to feel like we’re asking too much or that our needs are too heavy for others to carry. But here’s the truth: needing help doesn’t make you a burden—it makes you human. Life ebbs and flows, and at some point, we all need support. The people who love us don’t see us as a burden; they see us as someone worth helping, worth showing up for, even in our most vulnerable moments. It’s okay to feel uncomfortable with needing help, but don’t let that stop you from allowing others to care for you. You are not defined by your current limitations. Your worth isn’t tied to how independent or capable you are in this moment. You matter, just as you are. And letting others care for you is not only an act of trust but a reminder that love and connection go both ways. One day, when you’re stronger, you’ll get the chance to give that same love back. For now, it’s okay to rest and receive. You are not a burden—you are loved. #BRCA #breastcancer #aestheticflatclosure #doublemastectomy #mastectomy #bodypositivity #womenempowerment #empoweredwomenempowerwomen #healthadvocate #flattie #flattiebaddie
