UPDATE: I do have a video update from yesterday but we had a pretty scary morning and I zonked out after being on the phone with family and friends all day in between hospital visits. I’ll post a more extensive update here shortly. It’s 4AM here and I just spoke to his ICU nurse, he stayed STABLE throughout the night. That is a WIN!!! Praise God! 🙌🙌 Fun fact: my dad and I have never really lived in the same state for very long but we have definitely seen most of the country together because of it. From New York, Pennsylvania, lived with him in North Dakota for a while, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Indiana, everything in between and all the way to Arizona. Some of my foundest memories are our walleye fishing trips and riding horses with him. We always joke that one day I’ll write a book about his life and I might just do that. He’s had many many careers such as nursing, owning his own trucking company, driving and touring with rockstars, racing cars, semi pro sports, oil field engineering, to becoming a police officer, a cowboy, and a rancher. We jokingly always wonder how many lives God has given us because apparently if it can’t k!ll you, we’re not interested. That is true Holler fashion right there. Clearly, we love adrenaline and are definitely thrill seekers to our core. Example: his nickname in the ICU is The Cowboy and The Horse. My point, “maybe life isn’t about avoiding the bruises but rather collecting the scars to prove that WE showed up for it!” Regardless, we have a huge milestone today that needs to be met so I’m asking for prayers and good vibes be sent his way. May God watch over him and his care team today. I’m patiently waiting by phone so the moment they call I can catch an uber and get there quickly. If need be, it’s about a 5min run. Your prayers are working and I cannot thank you all enough. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! ❤️❤️ Here’s some of my favorite memories with him until then.
#icu #emergencymedicine #hearthealth #pheonix #arizona #dad #daighters #medflight lastly, if it isn’t going to matter in 5 years, 5 months, don’t waste more than 5 mins on it. That’s a ridiculous waste of time that you don’t get back.
