HOW TO REDUCE OVERTHINKING 👇 This is a powerful lesson on letting go, so let’s begin… Over the last decade I’ve had the great honor of teaching thousands of people in-person how to rock balance… Most people start my workshops with scripts like: “that’s impossible” “I could never do that” “you make it look so easy” Then after a few minutes of guided instruction there’s a feeling of empowerment and realization that the most difficult part is overcoming the obstacle of the mind. Balance is a universal law we can tap into at any moment (not just while balancing rocks). And yes, after a decade of creating my own balances I’m able to reach new levels of material exploration. Yet the hardest step I see in these rock balance workshops is also the easiest… Practice letting the balance go. It’s hard because with a moment of beauty our mind wants to cling to the joy and happiness that specific moment of peace provides. “Let it go?? Why??” “You can let go of yours, I’m not letting go of mine” “Wow that felt really good” It’s easy because the physical act of letting go requires very little effort. A simple “yes” to letting go of attachment creates a massive ripple of release. The truth is that time is going to move on whether we like it or not. The more we squeeze and hold, the more we suffer.
