🚨 The 2025 NDAA Failed to Fix a Major UCMJ Problem 🚨 I read the 2025 NDAA so you don’t have to, and there are some big changes to the UCMJ.     But sadly, one critical reform that would have protected service members got cut from the final bill—and it’s a huge loss for due process.   Congress was urged to require that no case go to trial unless there’s enough evidence to sustain a conviction—a basic standard in civilian courts. But guess what? That provision was removed.   ❌ Military prosecutors can STILL take weak cases to trial—even with little to no evidence. ⚖️ In civilian courts, prosecutors need a good-faith belief in a conviction. In the military? They don’t.   This isn’t justice—it’s stacking the system against the accused. Service members deserve equal legal protections.   Follow for more military law updates and know your rights. ⚖️ #ucmj #miltok #militarylaw #defense #lawyer #army #navy #airforce #spaceforce #marines #coastguard #military #ndaa #knowyourrights #notguilty #justice #fairness #harnishlaw

Part 4 of 2025 Changes to the UCMJ: Unanimous Verdicts Needed NOW! The NDAA moved up the deadline on the feasibility of unanimous verdicts in the military. Uncover the critical need for unanimous jury verdicts in military courts. I explore the disparity between military and civilian justice systems, highlighting the potential for wrongful convictions and advocating for essential reforms to ensure fair treatment for all service members. 🚨 Part 3 to 2025 Changes to the UCMJ. “Aiding the Enemy” Just Got a Lot Easier to Charge! 🚨   Under the 2025 NDAA, Article 103b has been expanded. Now, military training, education, and even tactical advice could be considered “Aiding the Enemy.”   ⚠️ What This Means for Service Members: ❌ Teaching weapons handling or tactics to the wrong person = Potential UCMJ violation ❌ Posting combat techniques, like CQB strategies online = Potential legal risk ❌ Working private security for/or training foreign forces without approval = Possible serious trouble   Even accidentally sharing sensitive military knowledge could put you in hot water. This isn’t just about spies and traitors, the UCMJ is now casting a wider net.   ⚖️ Know your rights, protect your career, and be careful what you say. Part 2 of “2025 Changes to the UCMJ.” Congress is pushing the Pentagon to amend Article 120c of the UCMJ to criminalize deepfake and AI-generated explicit content. ❌ The Problem? The law is trying to catch up to a technology it barely understands. ⚠️ What This Means for Service Members: •	If the law is changed, you could face UCMJ charges for creating, modifying, sharing, or even possessing AI-generated explicit images. •	The law might now clearly define key terms like “manipulated” or “AI-generated,” making enforcement unclear and inconsistent. •	Service members could be punished for images they didn’t even create, just for receiving them. 🔥 Bottom Line: This law should exist, but badly written laws lead to bad prosecutions. If you’re in the military, be VERY careful what you create, modify, share, or even receive. 📌 Follow for more UCMJ updates—because the military is coming for deepfakes in 2025. ⚖️ #ucmj #miltok #militarylaw #defense #lawyer #army #airforce #marines #navy #spaceforce #coastguard #military #law #ai #news #ndaa #knowyourrights #notguilty #defenseattorney #defenselawyer #militarylawyer #harnishlaw

🚨 The Military Wants to Hide Mental Health Information - Bad News for the Defense 🚨 Mental Health Privilege & Wrongful Convictions   The 2025 NDAA seems to be pushing back against caselaw that is helpful to defense. The case ⚖️ U.S. v. Mellette, which ruled that diagnoses & prescriptions are NOT privileged, helping the defense expose false claims & credibility issues. Now, the NDAA seems to want to reverse that.   ❌ This makes wrongful convictions even more likely.   📢 This isn’t about privacy; it’s about tilting the system against the accused.   ⚖️ Know your rights & fight for fairness.
