motherhood is wild. SAHMs are incredible. Working moms are incredible. Moms are superheroes, period, no matter which route you take. Sometimes I want throw myself a pity party and shout from the rooftops that I’m simply just doing my best — balancing pregnancy, working full time in corporate America, being a toddler mom, wife, daughter, friend, etc. But majority of the time I just say “I’m great” bc I never want to burden someone else with the decisions I made for myself. I honestly LOVE my life and the ability to work and be a mom, but there are HARD days. Days I know I let people down in their expectations of me bc I can’t show up for everyone all time. I know there are others out there who would do anything to be in my position…and that’s also so real and so valid. I know some people will understand where I’m coming from and others just WILL NOT get it, I’ve learned that two things can coexist. I’ve also learned gratitude and reflection in what you have is the best way to refocus and recenter when life feels overwhelming. Be gentle, give one another grace, and try to understand we are ALL going through something in some capacity… whether we verbalize it publicly, or not. You don’t owe anyone an explanation. 🫶🏻
