Feeling so many feels all at the same time- It’s something moms do best, isn’t it? And sometimes our big feelings can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how you look at it. But if you’re a mom whose kids are grown, and they’re out of your home of beginning to leave your home, I want to give you some encouragement today. An emptynest or almost emptynest doesn’t have to be “either or”. It can and should be “both and”. Our family life is changing in a big way and it’s only natural to feel a lot of big emotions. Feeling sad that your kids are grown doesn’t make you weak. Just like being happy for your kids or excited for the opportunity to write your own new chapter doesn’t make you any less of a mom. Would You agree?💛 It's our greatest blessing and our greatest heart ache, watching our kids grow up. All those years of pouring our heart and soul into them...the snuggles, the bedtime stories, the pictures with Santa, the Elf of the Shelf, leaving cookies out for Santa and carrots for Rudolf, the before dawn wake up call eager to see what was left under the tree, and the frenzied, sugar-high excitement of the holiday season that was at times enough to drive us crazy.
