#MondayMemories My uncle (Tudy) Art Brambila was TIERRA’s FIRST MANAGER. Here’s an article written by Frankie Firme II with an insight to my uncle Tudys involvement with TIERRA. REPOST From• NEWS FROM THE BROWN SIDE OF TOWN ************************* Had a most interesting & productive lunch meeting with Mr. Art Brambila , former Marketing & Advertising Executive for Universal Studios, Motown Records, Capitol Records, and Ode Records. He is the Uncle of the late, famed legendary East L.A. Chicano music artists & singers Rudy & Steve Salas of TIERRA, who signed them to their first record label, and produced their first album. A walking, talking Chicano Music Museum, we talked for a couple hours about Chicano life in East L.A., the 1960's birth of the Chicano Music "East Side Sound", the Chicano Movimiento and it's effect on Los Angeles life, the numerous music groups that played at the early Battles of the Bands at East L A. College and other venues on the East Side, and his experiences in the music record industry. -Frankie Firme David Salas Daphee Salas Steve Salas Legacy Rita Salas Richard Salas Mary Alcantar Robert Salas
