Painting MDF process 👇 * -Initial sand with 180 (vacuum and wipe down after each sanding) -Apply 1st coat high build primer -Sand with 240 -Apply 2nd coat high build primer -Sand with 320 then a 5mm firm superfine grit to remove Telegraph marks 🤌 -Apply topcoat! * Using a good high build primer (such as centurion 1111 as 1k or 2k) for MDF, HDF, or any similar material is a must for achieving a smooth finish. Bin and other primers are good for bonding but don’t allow enough build to be able to sand the surface smooth 🧈 * Tools/ products used: -3M xtract sander with 180 -Centurion 1111 primer as a 2k with 5% 4002 hardener -Festool ect150 with both 240 and 320 grit - Surfprep 3x4 sander with the 5mm superfine firm pads -Centurion 2800 topcoat with 15% 4002 hardener -Graco quickshot using a 308fflp tip * #moosepaintingnh #moosemethod #painting #finish #howto #pro #DIY #contractor #learn #educate #process #processvideo

✨Paint sprayer upgrade ✨ * Upgrading the Graco 490XT with the proshot xt gun (it’s a quickshot gun that can go on any airless sprayer 🙌), 200 mesh filters, and a 206 fflp tip 🤌 * Spraying Centurion 2800 reduced 10% with 15% 4002 hardener * With using a smaller orifice tip the product did need to be thinned a bit more to be able to get the correct spray pattern.
