I’m ready for the hate and I’m open to your feedback. Keep in mind, this is my opinion as a consumer, as an aesthetician, and as a consultant for Med Spas. 🚩My treatment experience: I was treated by a very seasoned nurse before anyone comes for me. My downtime was significant and I looked like I had road rash for 5-7 days. The pain was unbearable with just the use of topical. I will say, I do have a low pain tolerance. The treatment itself was pretty lengthy. I think in and out was almost 2 hours for face and neck. Because of the pain alone, as a consumer, I would not come back for additional treatments. 🚩My experience as an aesthetician: I won’t get into the technology because I’m not trying to get sued. 💅🏻 🚩My Med Spas Experience: While I have a lot of clients (MedSpas) that LOVE their Morpheus device, I argue that it’s because they’ve never tried any of the other technology. Three treatments are recommended and patients aren’t wanting to come back to continue their series and are left dissatisfied with their results. MedSpas are experiencing a lot of refunds for services unrendered by dissatisfied patients. What I don’t think MedSpa’s understand is that the consumable cost isn’t just the tip. It’s the numbering cream, the time that your patient is sitting and numbing taking up a room, it’s the nerve blocks, it’s the injectable lidocaine. It’s the staffing. It’s the pronox … your margins with this treatment continue to dwindle. On top of that, it’s a very saturated device and you’re able to find this treatment all over Groupon for extremely discounted rates. It’s a fight to the bottom when it comes to pricing from a MedSpa perspective. Plain and simple, there is better technology out there with less pain, less downtime, lower consumable, less treatment time, more powerful… So it’s out for me for 2025 💁🏼♀️
